Emma and Ally are packing their dance shoes and a healthy distrust of sketchy dance academies, because this week on Spooky Chicks and Horror Flicks, the hosts recap and review Suspiria (1977). The legendary supernatural horror film that cemented Dario Argento as a master of style and nightmares.
Starring Jessica Harper as an American ballet student who arrives at a prestigious dance academy only to discover something witchy lurking behind the curtains. Suspiria is a nightmarish fever dream filled with questionable murders, unpredictable staff members, and enough red lighting to make every scene feel hexed. Combined with the iconic score by Goblin, the end result is one of the most visually distinctive horror films ever made.
